Fishermen’s Fall Festival celebrates the return of the North Pacific fishing fleet to Seattle Fishermen’s Terminal and works to increase the public’s knowledge of the importance of the fishing industry while raising money for the Seattle Fishermen’s Memorial Foundation. The event provides families with a fun and educational outing on the waterfront as well as an opportunity to learn more about seafood.
The Freezer Longline Coalition and our partner organization, the Alaska Longline Cod Commission, sponsor and staff the taco booth with all proceeds going to the memorial fund.
FLC hosts an annual symposium for members, captains, and crew. The event pairs on-the-water experience with up-to-date science on Pacific cod biology and stocks along with coverage of current management issues.
Common presentations include stock assessments, NOAA surveys, and the observer program. Check out some recent presentations using the links to the right.
